Terms of Service

Last updated: October 19, 2026

Laboro was built by people who have run construction jobs in New York City, for the project managers who run them today. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are the agreement between you and Laboro (“Laboro”, “we”, “us” or “our”), based in New York, NY, for your use of the Service described in Section 1. We wrote them to be read, not scrolled past: the short version below is a fair summary, and the full text is what governs. By creating an Account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for a company, you confirm that you are authorized to bind it, and “you” includes that company.

The short version

  • What you pay. Three plans: Starter at $49 a month ($25 of AI usage, 1 active project, 25 GB), Standard at $99 ($55, 3 projects, 50 GB) and Pro at $199 ($120, unlimited projects, 100 GB); yearly plans cost ten months. The company plan costs $149 per project manager seat per month, with a minimum of 3 seats. Each AI reading shows its price before it runs and comes out of the plan’s monthly usage first, then Credits. Prices are before applicable sales tax.
  • Cancelling and refunds. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, in Account → Plan & usage → Manage subscription or, for App Store purchases, with Apple. Partial billing periods are not refunded (except where required by law) and Credits are non-refundable, but billing errors and duplicate charges are always refunded.
  • Your content stays yours. You keep the rights you hold in your content, and projects created inside a Company belong to the Company. We use it only to provide, maintain, secure and support the Service; we do not sell it or use it to train AI models.
  • You choose what the owner sees. An owner link shows only the layers you turn on and never the Contract section. Anyone with the link, and its access code if you set one, can view it while it is published.
  • AI output needs professional review. It can be incomplete or incorrect and is not engineering, architectural, legal or other professional advice. DOB filings, inspections, sign-offs and seals remain the responsibility of you and your Registered Design Professional.
  • New York law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any dispute is brought in the courts of the State of New York located in New York County.

This summary is not the full agreement. The sections below explain each point and govern.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information in the Service.

2. The Service

Laboro is an AI-assisted project management tool for construction project managers working in New York City, built first for facade work. It analyzes the construction documents you provide—such as plan sets, permits, field reports and bid forms—and organizes each project in five sections: Live (the job in 3D at any date, and a read-only owner link), Building (the drawings, the 3D model built from them and the project’s files), Schedule (permits and filings, the master schedule, the next two weeks and weather days), Field (drop inspections, progress, site photos, reports and notes) and Contract (the bid form, quantities, change orders and forecast). It produces working material such as permit and inspection lists, submittal logs, takeoffs, schedules, checklists, estimates, change orders and weekly reports. It is a productivity tool for professionals, not a substitute for professional judgment. We may add, change or remove features over time.

4. Plans, Usage and Credits

4.1 Plans

Laboro is sold on the web as a subscription in three plans, billed through our payment processor: Starter at $49 per month or $490 per year, with $25 of Usage each month, 1 active project and 25 GB of cloud storage; Standard at $99 per month or $990 per year, with $55 of Usage each month, 3 active projects and 50 GB; and Pro at $199 per month or $1,990 per year, with $120 of Usage each month, unlimited projects and 100 GB. Every plan includes every feature of the Service; the plans differ in Usage, active projects and storage, and Pro adds Laboro Connect. The monthly Usage allowance resets on your plan’s monthly renewal date and does not carry over. An active project is one that has not been archived; when a plan holds fewer projects than you have, nothing is deleted—you can read, export and share what you have, and create or restore more by changing plan.

You can change plan at any time from Account. A change to a plan that costs more applies immediately, you pay the prorated difference for the rest of the current period, and the new allowance applies from that moment; a change to a plan that costs less applies at your next renewal. Where the plan is sold through the App Store, Apple’s rules for changing subscriptions apply instead.

4.2 Quotes and failed requests

Usage comes from the AI readings you or your team start—for example reading a plan set, reading elevation sheets to build the 3D model, reading an engineer’s field report or checking submittals against the Project Manual. Features that do not use AI, such as Live, the owner link, the schedule, quantities, change orders and the weekly report, do not consume Usage. Each AI reading shows its price before it runs and is never charged more than that quote. Requests that fail are not charged. Results the Service cannot use—for example, an incomplete response that the app retries automatically—are not charged, up to $5 of such requests per Account per day; above that limit they are charged as quoted.

4.3 Credits

Customers with an active plan can buy Credits on the web, billed through our payment processor. Credit packs bought in the iOS app are billed by Apple and added to the same balance; the packs offered in the app are those available there. Credits are used only after the month’s included Usage has been spent, never expire and remain usable if your plan ends.

4.4 Cloud storage

An Account without a plan includes 10 GB of cloud file storage. Starter includes 25 GB, Standard 50 GB and Pro 100 GB. An optional storage add-on provides an additional 500 GB for $20 per month and requires an active Standard or Pro plan. A Company receives 100 GB for each paid seat. A single project can hold up to 3 GB without a plan, or up to half of the storage of your plan or Company with one.

4.5 Prices and taxes

Prices are shown in US dollars before purchase and do not include sales tax; where the law requires it, applicable sales tax is added at checkout and shown before you pay. We will give at least 30 days’ notice before a price change applies to an existing subscription.

5. Company plan

6. Billing, cancellation and refunds

6.1 Automatic renewal

Subscriptions—the plans, the storage add-on and the company plan—renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.

6.2 Cancellation

You can cancel at any time. On the web, open Account → Plan & usage → Manage subscription. For a subscription purchased through the App Store, use your Apple ID subscription settings. Your plan remains active until the end of the period already paid.

Deleting your Account cancels your web subscriptions immediately: your plan, the storage add-on and, if you own a Company with no other members, its company plan seats. There are no further charges, and the current billing period is not refunded (Section 6.3). Laboro cannot cancel a subscription purchased through the App Store; cancel it with Apple before you delete your Account. The company plan of a Company that still has other members is not cancelled by deleting the owner’s Account; it is cancelled, and the Company is closed, when the last remaining member leaves the Company or deletes their Account.

6.3 Refunds

First charge of a plan, on the web: if you ask within 14 days of your first payment for a plan, we refund that payment in full and close the plan; this applies once per Account and does not cover Credits, seats, the storage add-on or renewals.

7. Customer Content

8. AI output and professional responsibility

The Service uses AI and automated rules, and its output may be incomplete or incorrect. Output is assistance, not engineering, architectural, legal or other professional advice. DOB filings, inspections, sign-offs and seals remain the responsibility of you and your Registered Design Professional. We do not guarantee that any inspection, permit or filing will pass or be accepted, or that generated documents are free of errors. This applies equally to 3D models built from drawings, quantities and change orders, schedules, weather days and weekly reports. Building, permit, violation and weather information comes from public sources that we do not control and may be delayed, incomplete or wrong; a weather day changes your schedule only when you accept it. Review all output before you rely on it.

9. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to break the law or infringe the rights of others; to upload malicious code; to probe, overload or disrupt the Service; to access data that is not yours; or to circumvent metering, quotas or security controls.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party service providers, including Apple (App Store purchases and Sign in with Apple), Google (sign-in with Google), a payment processor for web payments, hosting and storage providers, an AI processing provider, and public data sources such as NYC Open Data and U.S. government weather services. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms, and purchases made through the App Store are also subject to Apple’s terms.

11. Suspension and Account deletion

We may suspend access that abuses the Service, violates these Terms or attempts to circumvent metering. You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your Account from Account → Profile → Delete account; the effect of deletion is described in our Privacy Policy. Remaining Credits are forfeited when an Account is deleted, and web subscriptions are cancelled as described in Section 6.2.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that defects will be corrected, or that material produced with the Service will be accurate, complete or fit for any filing, inspection, bid, contract or construction decision. You are responsible for reviewing that material and for the decisions you make with it.

13. Limitation of liability and indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Laboro will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, delay damages, liquidated damages, penalties, fines or the cost of substitute services, arising out of or related to the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. To the same extent, our total liability for all claims related to the Service, taken together, is limited to the amount you paid to Laboro in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you; in that case our liability is limited to the fullest extent the law allows.

Indemnification. You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless Laboro and its owners, employees and contractors from and against any claim, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your content, your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law, or any filing, inspection, work or other decision made in reliance on material produced with the Service.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will make reasonable efforts to notify Account holders in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law, venue and general terms

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you and Laboro consent to their jurisdiction.

General terms. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any plan or order terms shown to you at purchase, are the entire agreement between you and Laboro about the Service and replace any earlier understandings. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect and that part is enforced to the fullest extent the law allows. If we do not enforce a provision right away, we have not waived it. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, and we will tell you if we do. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, employment or agency relationship between you and Laboro. Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
